Beginning in January and continuing through Mid-March is the time to perform soil injections or root drenching applications with Merit. The benefit to doing these applications now is to prevent the unsightly and damaging effects caused by the above mentioned pests during the Summer and Fall months. The added benefit this will have is less ant trails and wasp problems in your landscape – as both of these pests feed off the honeydew that is secreted by the Aphids and Scale.
